Tony Tanner recently announced that Webinars will be offered starting in February, and will cover a variety of subjects, among which will be those dedicated to porcelain doll making. So Far we only have information relating to the February classes, but two out of the four scheduled are classes that may appeal to many of us.
On Tuesday evening, February 9th at 9:30 pm EST, Marilyn Thompson will be teaching a class called “The Basics to Working With Porcelain Dolls”. She intends to cover pouring, cleaning and preparing a doll for firing. Then on February 23rd at 8:00 pm she will be demonstrating how to put the Dragonfly Fairy from the Fantasy Doll Kits. You can contact Marilyn in advance at 1-770-670-9000 to get the kit so you can put it together while watching Marilyn’s demonstration. Check The Porcelain Place’s website for more details and registration information at http://www.theporcelainplace.com.
I’m especially excited about having another source of instruction for those who are new to doll making and who can’t find a class nearby. The prices for these Webinars are reasonable enough that they shouldn’t be prohibitive, so give them a try and let us know what you think. Registration is only $13.95, and if you want to purchase a copy of the webinar to have available whenever you wish to review it, you can start your own “library” on The Porcelain Place’s server for $7.95 per topic. Sounds like a good deal to me.
