Some years ago I found the Goodie Two Shoes website and ordered a shoe making kit. It was one of the best things I ever bought. I followed the instructions carefully for using my latest doll’s foot for a last, making a custom pattern, and finally making the shoes. I didn’t have sole leather, so I covered a piece of cardboard with my shoe leather, rough side out, and they came out rather nicely. I got lots of compliments on them, but better yet, I was hooked on shoe making.
I was still working as a nurse at that time, as well as dealing with my live in mother who was having small strokes, and was very busy, so I didn’t get to spend as much time in my workshop as I wanted to, and by the time I was needing to replenish my shoe making supplies, we no longer had mom with us, but found that we needed to move into our rental property in order to have enough room to be able to take in a bunch of grandchildren who needed a home, and all my doll stuff went into storage for the next three years. I finally retired from nursing and got around to getting my doll stuff out of storage, and started trying to hook up with my old doll friends and suppliers on the internet again, only to find them gone. Goodie Two Shoes was one of them.

Recently there has been quite a bit of talk about Goodie Two Shoes products in a couple of groups, and someone came up with an email address for Kathleen Kaufman-Torres, the owner and producer of the Goodie Two Shoes products and I was able to contact her and order a complete set of instructional workbooks, which included Doll Accessory Workbook Volumes I & II, A French Fashion Accessory Workbook, another copy of the Custom Doll Shoe Workbook, which is crammed with patterns for beautiful shoes and instructions for making high heels, and the Antique Reproduction Doll Shoe Workbook. WOW! What a treasure trove of information!

The really great thing is that although Kathleen is no longer actively involved in making her products available, she has decided to list them in our Store here on Yakkity Yak Dolls so that they are once again available to the doll community! We’re honored by her decision to do so, and encourage all of you to take advantage of the opportunity to acquire these marvelous workbooks! The three Accessories CDs are in the Store right now, and the two shoe workbooks on CD will be there within the next few days.
Welcome back, Goodie Two Shoes!

I, too, have discovered the joy of tiny shoe making. I had always wanted to buy Kathleen’s workbooks and their unique supplies, but simply didn’t have the funds. I have been making some really nice shoes with Brown House patterns; a nice little book I found in my stash from an estate purchase; and a few goodies I found at Tandy Leather. Then, when I could finally afford to buy from Goodie Two Shoes, I discovered–to my great despair–that they had gone out of business! So I am thrilled that Kathleen is back with her marvelous workbooks! Now, is there any chance she can tell us where the supplies went? I hafta ask!
Hi Sue. Click on the link in the Goodie Two Shoes ad to send your questions about supplies to Kathleen. I’m sure she’ll share her old sources with you, or look in the Supplier Directory under “Doll Shoes” and you may find what you’re searching for. It’s great to find some of our old favorites again, isnt it!
Hi Kathleen:
Long time no hear. So glad to know that you are back into your business of doll shoes. I’ve missed seeing you at the shows. Please contact me when you have time. Your fellow shoe maker, Pat
Hello Pat, I am forwarding your comment on to Kathleen by email. Nice to hear from you. I have you listed in the Supplier Directory under Doll Shoes – can’t recall off hand if you’re under any other headings. Come back and visit us soon!
Do you have hardback copies of your books that are listed on cd?
If you do how much and are they binder type or reg. hard back type books?
Thanks, Sandie Ulmer
Hi Sandie, thanks for your inquiry about the Goodie Two Shoes workbooks. I have forwarded your email on the Kathleen so she can contact you directly. Hope you get what you need! There’s a lot of great information here!
Hello!
Wow I thought I’d lost Goodie Two Shoes forever!! No one made custom shoes like Goodie Two Shoes! All I do now is custom commission porcelain dolls and I hate using run of the mill shoes when I put so much time and effort into my dolls. I had about given up hope until today when I saw your site. Thank you so much for providing this link to an outstanding doll supply company! You are in my “Favorites” now!
Much gratitude!
Paulette
So glad to be able to provide the information!
Hi Karen
I have been out of the doll world for a few years now. My young goddaughter wants to make a doll/s and I discovered your lovely site.
I would like to purchase the three workbooks you mention, they sound fab. I confess I used to make my own doll shoes, but never with heels! Can you advise me of cost plus postage please. I live in the UK.
I found your site very easy to navigate and a lovely site.
Thanks Sandra
