Gildebrief is the oldest Magazine for Doll Makers worldwide – and the first one in Germany! Doll makers interested in Antique reproductions always look forward to the next issue which always introduces an exciting new costume and a complete set of patterns for making it.
We just received a reminder from Karin Buttigieg that the Winter 2009 edition is due to be dispatched on November 19th! Don’t miss out on this wonderful issue containing patterns and detailed instructions for a couple of stunning outfits and accessories for our Madame Sidonie, the Smiling Bru, on the new FFP 9, 5″ French Fashion Poupée (Gildebrief) body!
Remember, if you’re interested in subscribing to the online version of this great magazine, it only costs about half what the regular printed magazine costs, and you will get the actual patterns featured in each issue in the mail. You can print out the directions for any project you want to work on for easy reference, and copy the e-version of your magazine to a CD or flash drive for permanent storage. If you want to give this a try, contact me here at Yakkity Yak Dolls for a link to a free magazine download to see what it’s like. I love getting mine online like this and it helps with the storage problem as well.

Good morning Nada. I’ll be happy to get you the information. I love Gildebrief. You can order back issues from them as well, so if you like the costumes in your sample issue, you can get the patterns.
Hi, I would like information about the online Gildebrief magazine. A sample copy would be very much appreciated!
Thank you.
Hi Susan. The online edition is no longer available. I heard a rumor that they stated at one point that the reasonb was that people were subscribing, then letting all of their friends download it as well. They can’t just give it away any more than any other business can afford to give away their products, so the rest of us who were paying for subscriptions are out of luck
